He added, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina places a lot of emphasis on women’s sports. Under her patronization, the Bangladesh women are doing extremely well in sports. He continued, “All of you know, recently, our women’s football and cricket teams have tasted success. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina provided them encouragement, and awarded them. All of you can play an important part towards women empowerment in the country.”
Nabil thanked UNICEF for assisting in holding the camp and expressed hope that they would continue their assistance in future.
FIFA Council Member Mahfuza Akter Kiron said, “A residential training camp for spotting talented women footballers is being held in Jessore for the first time. Eighty-three girls from 19 districts will take part in the camp.”
