Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the revised squads for the Tigers’ tour to India to play three-match T20 and two-match Test series.
Senior player Mahmudllah will lead Bangladesh's T20 side while Mominul will be the captain for the Test series.
BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin announced the revised squads at its office in Dhaka's Mirpur on Tuesday (Oct 29) following a two-year ban imposed on Shakib Al Hasan by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Taijul Islam will replace Shakib in the T20 squad.
The chief selector also announced two more changes in the T20 squad. They replaced Mohammad Saifuddin and Tamim Iqbal by Abu Hider Rony and Mohammad Mithun respectively.
Saifuddin has been suffering from an injury while Tamim skipped the series on personal reasons.
For the Test squad, right-handed opener Saif Hassan has been called for the first time while Al Amin Hossain returned to the team after five years.
Imrul Kayes, who missed the one-off Test against Afghanistan, also made to the Test squad. Bangladesh will play a three-match T20 series and a two-match Test series against India beginning from Nov 3.
The first Test will start in Indore on Nov 14 and the second one on Nov 22 at Kolkata's Eden Gardens, where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will watch the match.
