Hours after ICC banned Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan from all cricket for two years, with one year of that suspended, after he accepted charges of breaching code, his wife Umme Ahmed Shishir expressed his hope saying "legends Shakib will come back stronger than ever."
"Legends don’t become legends overnight they have to go through storms many ups and downs, tough times will come but they embrace it with a strong mind, and we know how strong Shakib Al Hasan is! This is the beginning of a new start he will come back stronger than ever in no time," she said a Facebook status on Tuesday (Oct 29).
Citing Shakib's absence from the cricket due to injuries over time to time been away, Shishir said, "...we saw how strongly he came back in the World Cup."
The all-rounder's wife, however, thanked the fans for their overwhelmed love and support to Shakib.
"This is just a matter of time, We are overwhelmed by all the love and support you have shown us. That’s the unity we need as a nation!" read the post.
