Cricketers’ strike: BCB chief meets PM

The BCB top brass called on the PM at her her official residence Ganabhaban in Dhaka on Wednesday (Oct 23).
“The prime minister spoke to us about the matter,” Durjoy told the media at the BCB office at 3pm.
The CWAB, however, did not disclose the details of the meeting.
Jalal Yunus, chairman of BCB’s media committee, said: “The BCB president went to the honorable prime minister to discuss the players’ ongoing strike. But, I do not have details of the meeting.”
When asked whether any representatives from the players were present during the meeting, he said: “I am not aware about it, but we are ready to sit with them (cricketers) whenever they want.”
On Monday (Oct 21), Bangladesh cricketers submitted a 11-point demand towards BCB and went on a strike from all cricket playing activities until their demands are being met.
Improvement of payment structure and practice facilities in Dhaka Premier League, National Cricket League and Bangladesh Premier League were the major demands among others.
