Bangladesh 239 (Mushfiqur 99, Mithun 60, Junaid 4-19) beat Pakistan 202 for 9 (Imam 83, Mustafizur 4-43) by 37 runs.
Bangladesh will face India in the Asia Cup final as they defeated Pakistan by 37 runs on Wednesday.
Pakistan scored 202 for nine in 50 overs in chasing of a target of 240 runs in their Asia Cup Super Four match against Bangladesh at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz brought the first breakthrough for Bangladesh in his 5th ball of the innings very 1st over as dismissing opener Fakhar Zaman, who was caught by Rubel Hossain at Pakistan’s collection of 2 runs.
Then Mustafizur Rahman got two quick wickets Babar Azam and skipper Sarfraz Ahmed within a span of 15 runs.
Mustafiz trapped lbw Babar Azam in 1.2 overs while Sarfraz Ahmed was caught behind by Mushfiqur Rahim in 3.3 overs.
Imam-ul-Haq scored 83 off 105 balls before he was stumped out.
Mustafizur bagged four wickets while Mehidy took two wickets.
Earlier, a 144-run partnership by Mushfiqur Rahim and Mohammad Mithun helped Bangladesh score 239 runs for seven.
Mushfiqur fell one run short to hit a century. He scored 99 off 116 hitting nine fours before getting caught behind in a delivery by Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Mithun scored 60 off 84 balls before he was taken out by Hasan Ali.
Mushfiq completed his 30th ODI half-century while Mithun hit his second one.
Tigers lost quick wickets as Mithun was caught and bowled in 33.4 overs and Imrul Kayes returned to the pavilion in 36.1 overs.
Kayes managed to score 9 off 10 balls before falling in an lbw trap by Shadab Khan.
After the early loss of three wickets in the first five overs, Tigers were back in the game with the partnership of Mushfiqur and Mithun.
Opener Soumya Sarkar left with no runs in his bag while Liton Das could only score six runs before Junaeed Khan took them out.
No 3 batsman Mominul Haque scored five runs before he was bowled out by Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Both Mushfiq and Mithun played heroic roles for Bangladesh’s victory of 137 runs against Sri Lanka in the tournament opener.
Mushfiq hit his ODI best 144 and Mithun completed his maiden ODI half century alongside they shared a partnership of 131 off 23.3 overs in the 3rd wicket.
Bangladesh will play against India in the final on Friday (Sept 28).
