Terming the proposed Road Transport Act-2018 as a hoax, BNP Senior Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi claimed the perpetrators and big fishes in transport sector will remain out of reach in the law.
He made the remark in a press briefing at party’s headquarters on Tuesday.
“The law has no adequate space to create safe roads. I’m doubtful of ensuring security and discipline on the roads under the law”, the BNP leader said.
He also cast doubt whether the law would make its way in the parliament.
Condemning the government’s move against the writers, students, opposite politicians, the senior leader alleged that no one is safe in hand of the regime.
He also criticized police and ruling party activists for attacks on the students and media during the protest for safe roads.
