BNP leader Amir Khoshru’s conversation on protests leakedA leaked phone conversation of BNP leader Amir Khoshru Mahmud Chowdhury is causing a huge stir in the backdrop of the ongoing student movement.
The BNP National Standing Committee member was heard saying in the phone conversation with one Nowmi to gather men from Cumilla to join the protests in Dhaka.
A former minister, Khoshru was repeatedly heard asking the person on the other side of the phone to get his peers organized and take to the streets.
Speaking to Bangla Tribune, the BNP leader said, "We have supported the movement. If someone wants to cooperate, we've said go ahead. Our party supported them. So did millions of people. Cooperation doesn’t mean we have to join them to the streets. People all over the country are cooperating. They are providing food and water to the students. So, people of the entire country are cooperating”.
Sources in the intelligence agencies said, they are looking into the matter.
Meanwhile, DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia was asked about the leaked audio in a press conference on Saturday.

He said, "We have the audio. We have already said there were plots against the movement. Such conspiracies in the past were never successful. The students have taken to the streets for a noble cause, but there are people who want to reap benefits out of it.”
