The polls campaign of BNP mayoral candidate Ishraque Hossain came under attack on Sunday (Jan 26) in Dhaka’s Gopibagh.
At least 10 people including Ishraque, were injured during the attack, said the polls campaign chief Khurshid Alam.
“Some men attacked the campaign from both sides in front of Central Women’s College around 11:30 am,” he said and added that a clash ensued after that.
According to party sources, the situation came under control after half an hour when law enforcers reached the scene.
