As part of his pledge of a 'smart city', the ruling Awami League's Dhaka North mayor aspirant says that an app-based citizen service was ready for launch.
“The 'Shobar Dhaka' app will be launched in three months of the next term if I am re-elected,” Atiqul Islam said on Saturday (Jan 18) while campaigning at the city's Kochukhet.
According to him, Dhaka residents will be able to report any kind of issue through the app.
"Be it streetlights, manhole covers or illegal establishments on footpaths, everything can be reported through it,” said Atiqul.
Soliciting for votes, the mayor aspirant said that the city belongs to people from all walks of lives.
"From rickshaw-puller to the wealthy — Dhaka is everyone's. Let us work together towards a healthy and modern city," he said.
