A campaign procession of BNP`s Dhaka North mayoral candidate Tabith Mohammad Awal on Sunday (Jan 12)A campaign procession of BNP's Dhaka North mayoral candidate Tabith Mohammad Awal has allegedly come under attack.
The incident took place on Sunday (Jan 12) at the city's Mirpur area,
"Unidentified men raising ‘Joy Bangla’ slogans hurled brickbats and stones at our procession," Tabith said.
Claiming an activist named Al Amin has been injured, he said, “We will report to the Election Commission (EC) about the attack on our activists.”
He also expressed disappointment over the absence of mobile magistrate of EC during the campaign.
“Corruption has mushroomed all over the Dhaka North and South City Corporations,” Tabith said before pledging that he would end all irregularities in office.
“We will continue polls campaign disregard of the police cases, Awami League goon’s attack,” he added.
