Alluding to Indian daily Anandabazar Patrika, BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said: “Indian newspapers are printing that there is a frosty relation between India and Bangladesh at the moment.”
For some reason, the bi-lateral relation is facing a sweet and sour separation, he said while talking to the media at the BNP’s Naya Paltan office on Tuesday (Dec 24).
“To add life to a cold relation the ministers of the government and leaders of the ruling party are speaking gibberish; when the whole of India is in ferment over the National Register of Citizens(NRC), the AL government is shamelessly supporting the move.”
Rizvi observed: “Just like Myanmar which made the Rohingyas stateless and forced them into Bangladesh, India is planning to corner the Muslim minorities in India and push them into Bangladesh.”
But calling the NRC an internal matter, Bangladesh is avoiding it, deplored the BNP leader.
