“The country fell in anarchy following the assassination of Bangabandhu. PM Hasina has turned the country into what it is today,” he told the party’s 21st national council at the capital’s Suhrawardy Udyan on Friday (Dec 20).
Quader said, “Hasina is the name of the most valiant politician, capable administrator, successful diplomat, and most popular leader over the past 44 years.”
The senior AL leader urged the party activists to stand by its chief’s thoughts and mission.
“We have to overcome the challenge of terrorism and communalism, with the inspiration of crackdown led by her,” Quader said.
Earlier, Hasina inaugurated the council by hoisting the national flag.
Quader, also the roads transport minister, accompanied her by hoisting party flag as a designated duty. He has been serving as AL general secretary since Oct 26, 2016.
