The Awami League is against the main spirit if of liberation, said BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
His remarks came while addressing a media call at the BNP headquarters in Naya Paltan on Wednesday (Dec 18).
Alluding to the controversy arising from the list of Razakars, he commented: “The home ministry is accusing the liberation war affairs ministry while the liberation war affairs ministry is blaming the home ministry.”
The Awami League is against the main spirit of independence; the Liberation War is based on democracy, human rights, equality and justice and none of these are present in Awami politics. They are only interested in eradicating the opponents to illegally capture power, said Rizvi.
“While trying to publish a list of Razakars, the ministry of liberation war affairs has given birth to another controversy.”
Referring to Khaleda Zia’s incarceration, Rizvi, commented: “The main aim of the government is to kill Khaleda Zia without treatment; at this moment, she is at the verge of life and death, she cannot walk and is suffering from severe hypertension, diabetes and arthritis. Her fasting sugar rate is 14.”
Her personal doctors are not being allowed to test her health, accused the BNP leader.
