Jatiya Party Presidium member Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu has bagged the party ticket to contest the Chattogram-8 by-polls slated for Jan 13.
Party Chairman GM Quader announced the nominations during a media call at his Banani office on Wednesday (Dec 11).
The Chattogram-8 constituency fell vacant after the death of Awami League lawmaker Moin Uddin Khan Badal on Nov 7.
The ruling Awami League nominated its Chattogram south district unit president Moslem Uddin Ahmed while the BNP picked Abu Sufian, the party’s Chattogram south district unit convener for the by-polls.
