BNP high command has called all grass root leaders to Dhaka to formulate an electoral guideline and expedite the release of party chairperson, Khaleda Zia.

BNP’s organizational secretary, Dr Sakhawat Jibon, told Bangla Tribune: “we had earlier discussed the need to call grassroot leaders to the capital.”

BNP sources say that at the party standing committee meeting, the matter was finalized.

The meet with grassroots may be organized before Eid ul Azha or after the city corporation polls, said party sources.

The meet may be held in a hotel seminar room, added the source. All district presidents, secretaries, joint secretaries and organizational secretaries will be called.

BNP standing committee member, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, told Bangla Tribune: the meet may be held in Dhaka.”

I am in Sylhet, therefore, cannot confirm anything, he added.
