Jatiya Party has announced its support for the Awami League (AL) candidate Sadiq Abdullah vying for the mayor of Basrishal City Corporation (BCC) election run-up.
Party’s Chairman Hussain Mohammad Ershad declared his stance on Jul 25, his Deputy Press Secretary Khondokar Delwar Jalali told Bangla Tribune.
Jatiya party’s secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader instructed the local leaders and activists to work for the AL candidate to make him win in the election.
“There is no alternative to the chairman’s decision to build a progressive BCC and inclusive development of the southern part of the country,” Ruhul Amin said.
