The 10th national council of the ruling Awami League’s affiliate body Krishak League is set to be held on Wednesday (Nov 6).
Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the council at 11 am at Suhrawardy Udyan.
Activists are of the view that leaders with ‘clean image’ will make it to the committee.
Around 7,000 councillors and 9,000 delegates along with two foreign guests will attend the council.
Krishak League was established on Apr 19, 1972. Despite the 16 councils supposed to be held, only six took place with the last one being on Jul 19, 2012.
