Former BNP leader Huda, who had served as a minister in the Khaleda Zia administration, formed a new political outfit after leaving the BNP.
In 2015, he floated a coalition with eight other parties, styled ‘Bangladesh Nationalist Alliance’ (BNA).
On Wednesday, Huda led a BNA delegation for a meeting with the ruling coalition at the Awami League chief’s Dhanmondi offices.

Huda, the youngest standing committee member of the BNP when it was founded, served twice as a minister of the Khaleda administration, before being expelled.
He lost his Cabinet berth in 1996 for coming with an outline for the caretaker administration system. He was a vice chairman when he was ousted from the party in 2010 for violating discipline.
He returned to the party in 2011 after apologising but in 2014 announced to quit.
