BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s release is impossible without movement, said the party's Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu.
“Strong movements have to waged on the roads in order to release Khaleda Zia,” he said during a human chain demonstration at National Press Club on Wednesday (Aug 21).
“There is no other way to free her from prison,” he added.
Dudu said that Khaleda would have stood beside the distressed farmers, labourers, students and the ailing dengue patients if she was free.
Claiming that the former prime minister has been imprisoned end the Zia family, he said, “She (Khaleda Zia) has been kept at prison while her youngest son Arafat Rahman Coco died abroad after being severely tortured. And her elder son Tarique Rahman is being forced to remain in exile."
