No movement will be able to release BNP chief Khaleda Zia as it’s a matter of court, says Information Minister Hasan Mahmud.
“It will not be possible to release convicted Khaleda Zia through movement … it is only the court that can release her,” BSS quoted him saying on Sunday (Jun 2).
Hasan, also Awami League publicity and publication secretary, said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is now in prison after being convicted in a graft case.
So, there is no other way to release her as the court will decide whether she will be released or not.
“We don’t know when they will go for a movement . . . I want to urge them not to make fun of themselves with such talks,” he added.
