BNP Chairperson, Khaleda Zia's younger brother has written to the home ministry on Tuesday seeking better treatment for her.
In the letter, Shameem Iskander, younger brother of the BNP chief, wrote, “My elder sister Khaleda Zia has become ill during her stay at the old Dhaka’s jail on Nazimuddin road.”
The letter further added: on Jun 5, she suffered a mild stroke according to her doctor’s report on Jun 9.”

Shameem Iskander requested the home minister to send Khaleda to city’s United Hospitals Ltd for better treatment.
All expenses for her treatment will be covered by her family, the letter added.
