BNP Chairperson Khaleda ZiaThe BNP claims that its jailed party chief Khaleda Zia does not want to get treated at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital.
“She does not want to be treated there as she has no confidence on pro-Awami League doctors,” senior leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Monday after the government and prison authorities said she will be treated at the BSMMU Hospital.
Speaking at a media briefing, BNP Joint Secretary General Rizvi blamed the government of negligence over Khaleda's medical condition.
“The government is overlooking the demand for better medical care at the United Hospital. They speak about the BSMMU Hospital, which is full of pro-Awami League doctors.”
He said Khaleda does not feel safe over getting treated at BSMMU Hospital. “The government is playing dirty politics with her medical condition.”
