AL’s Nasim calls to remain vigilant over new political platform

“A new platform is being carried out by the leaders of the Islami Chhatra Shibir [Jamaat’s student wing], who has a history of hate and violence since our Liberation War,” he said on Sunday (Apr 28).

His remarks came at a media call after a meeting organized by 14-party Alliance.

Nasim, who serves as the spokesperson for ruling party-led coalition, also urged the law enforcers to remain vigilant over the matter.

He announced that an anti-militancy rally to boost secular values will be held at Apr 30 in Dhaka which will be followed by campaigns through division and district levels across the country during the forthcoming Ramadan to make people aware of the adverse impact of militancy and extremism in a country.

Nasim said, the elected lawmakers of BNP have started coming to the Parliament and expressed his optimism by saying the rest should follow them to take the oath.

Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) General Secretary Shirin Akhter, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Secretary-General Shahadat Hossain Salim, JP-Manju presidium member Ejaz Ahmed Mukta, AL Office Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap, AL Information and Research Secretary Adv Afzal Hossain and AL central working committee member SM Kamal Hossain, among others, were present at the meeting.
