More than a hundred BNP activists took part in the protest rally demanding Khaleda’s release.BNP chief Khaleda Zia has been imprisoned so that the government could carry out the ‘mid night’ polls on Dec 30, said the party’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
His remarks came on Friday (Apr 26) in front of the party headquarters after BNP’s protest rally demanding Khaleda’s release.
More than a hundred BNP activists took part in the rally that started at 7 am.
He said that abuse on women has become rampant and the murder of Feni madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi was a consequence of an unaccountable government’s maladministration.
Claiming that injustice in the country has reached its heights, Rizvi said that people in the country were no longer safe.
He added that all was forgiven when it came to the ruling party but the opposition leaders who are “on the side of justice and democracy” have to end up in jail.
