BNP Senior Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was at a media briefing at the party’s Naya Paltan offices on Tuesday (June 5, 2018).Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sought ‘guaranteed support from India to hold a unilateral national election’, claims the BNP.
The allegations came on Tuesday, when Senior Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi briefed the media at the party’s Naya Paltan offices.
Referring to Hasina’s remarks that India will never forget what Bangladesh has done for it, Rizvi said, “This means Hasina seeks a guarantee for a one-sided election. That’s the only thing she wants in return.”
The ruling Awami League in once again hatching a conspiracy for a voter-less election and jailing BNP chief Khaleda Zia on false charges, claimed Rizvi.
“But her (Hasina’s) this wish will not come true. The people are determined to get the back the right to vote. Democracy will be restored in this country. A democratic government will once again come in power led by Khaleda Zia.”
