Incarcerated BNP chief Khaleda Zia is not getting necessary medical treatment, alleges Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, the Senior Joint Secretary General of the party.
“Although she (Khaleda Zia) has been admitted to Banglabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), she is not getting necessary treatments and she is deprived of needed medical tests at the government controlled hospital,” Rizvi said on Saturday (Apr 13).
The BNP leader further said that Khaleda’s blood sugar level is beyond control and arthritis pain has taken a bad turn as well.
Claiming that BSMMU is not equipped with modern medical equipments, Rizvi said, “We have been demanding her to be treated at a specialized hospital of her choosing, but the government didn’t pay any heed.
“Rather, they are lying that she is getting treatment and this is distressing,” he added.
