BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been stuck in Dhaka traffic jam. After spending three months in London with the family and taking medical treatment, she arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday afternoon. But her car was trapped in the traffic jam on the main road when she came out from the Airport.
The day Khaleda arrived, a crisis of public transport was seen even on the airport road. Traffic police began to control traffic on the traffic signal of Jasim Uddin road, sector 3, Uttara in the afternoon as many BNP leaders & supporters came to the Airport area to greet Khaleda. As a result, there was an intense traffic jam established on the Tongi-Ashulia road to Uttara. On the other hand, the road from the airport to Kakoli was almost empty. When the traffic signals released, the intense traffic jam was created on the roads. Khaleda’s car ferries got trapped in this traffic jam when that meets the road.
It is noted that Wednesday 5.05pm, Khaleda Zia landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Emirates Airlines 586 flight. BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and senior leaders greeted Khaleda Zia with flowers on the arrival.
On Tuesday, 10.15 pm the London local time, she flew to Dhaka in the Emirates Airlines.
