Jatiya Party chief HM Ershad, who is undergoing treatment in Singapore, is doing well, said the acting Chairman of the party GM Quader.

“He is in sound health. He is undergoing treatment in a Singapore hospital,” he told the media on Monday (Jan 21) at the party chairman’s Banani office.

“We hope he will shortly return among us fully healed,” added Quader.

He also said, “HM Ershad fulfilled people’s expectation by establishing good governance during his time as president. He also introduced the Upazilas and undertook tremendous infrastructure development initiatives.”

The party Secretary General Mashiur Rahman Ranga said, “Jatiya party will play a positive role in the parliament as a strong opposition.

Jatiya party will not back down from speaking for the country’s poor,” he added.
