Saying that irregularities have marred voting in different parts of the country, Jatiya Oikya Front convener Dr Kamal Hossain said, “These aberrations are a betrayal with independence, Bangabandhu and the martyrs.”
He made the comments at the Viqarunnissa School and College in Dhaka on Sunday morning (Dec 30) after casting his vote.
I am receiving calls that votes had already been cast last night, this is shameful, unfortunate and legal steps need to be taken against such deviation.
“In many areas, voters could not vote and Oikya Front agents were driven out,” he said.
We will collate all the information about the irregularities and give them to the Election Commission (EC).
However, we are hopeful of winning, he stated.
