The BNP has extended its support to Dhaka-1 independent candidate Salma Islam following the cancellation of its candidate in the parliamentary constituency.
The party, which is left with no candidates in multiple seats, will also back independent aspirants Aleya Begum at Joypurhat-1 and Rezaul Karim in Bogura-7, said Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP chief’s media wing.
