China will pressurize Myanmar to take Rohingyas back

AL Presidum member Faruk Khan headed the delegation On Wednesday night (September 27th), after finishing China tour Awami league 18-member delegation arrived at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. In the VIP lounge of the airport, Awami League presidium member Faruk Khan and head of this delegation said to the Bangla Tribune that China will pressurize Myanmar to return back Rohingyas who fled to Bangladesh due to the violence of government forces including the country's army.




Faruk Khan said, “We demanded that Myanmar should return back Rohingyas before the upcoming April. We have also informed China about this. China has assured us That Myanmar will take Rohingya people back. China will also help to rehabilitate Rohingyas in Myanmar. Li Jun, vice-minister of the International Liaison Department of China Communist Party met with us.”

He further said, “We have been told that China will play a positive role to send Rohingya back to Myanmar within the next one to two years.”

He also said that, China praised Sheikh Hasina lot for giving shelter to Rohingyas. Besides, China thinks that Bangladesh has made a humanitarian example through this. Li Jun, Vice Minister of International Relations Development Department of the Chinese Communist Party, told the delegation that China will send 153 tons relief for the Rohingya refugees.

During the tour they highlighted Bangladesh's position on the Rohingya issue with high level leaders of the Chinese Communist Party. They also informed China about the incidents of crossing the airspace of Bangladesh by Myanmar Air Force. The 19th Conference of the Chinese Communist Party will held on October 18. Regarding the conference, a demand was made to the ruling Communist Party of China to play a key role in strengthening political and business relations between China and Bangladesh. The tour seems successful to the delegation because the way China reacted to the various statements and topics presented by Bangladesh seems positive to them.
