Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said, alluding to BNP, “Even if they stay away from polls, the election will go on.”
He made the comment on Wednesday (Dec 5) at a media briefing held at the political office of the AL president.
“Election will take place, irrespective of who decides to take part or stay away,” said the veteran AL politician.
“They (BNP) are planning to foil the elections with instructions from London, whereas we want to hold free, fair and neutral polls.”
Meanwhile, convener of Nagorik Oikya Prokriya and one of the leaders of Oikya Front, Mahmudur Rahman Manna, says, “The people will show their feeling in the elections on Dec 30 through their votes and then the AL government will realise how irrational their beliefs are.”
