Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is engaged in nomination trade.
He made the comment on Tuesday (Dec 4) to the media at a conference held at the AL president’s political office.
Questioning the 455 nominations of BNP he said, “Let’s assume there are 300 persons; of them, there are candidates from other allies, then why so many?”
Many of the nominations that were cancelled belong to people who are loan defaulters, he added.
The veteran AL leader also accused BNP of breaching election time rules and regulations.
Quader also called Dr Kamal Hossain a puppet being controlled from London.
Denouncing BNP as a party without a recognizable head, he asked a rhetorical question: Who will vote for this party?
