The ruling Awami League will unveil its electoral pledges the day after the Election Commission allots polls symbols to candidates.
“Awami League President Sheikh Hasina (Prime Minister) will announce the polls manifesto before the nation in a press briefing,” Presidium member Abdur Razzak told the media on Saturday (Nov 25).
Briefing the media at the party chief’s Dhanmondi offices, he said the Awami League they will incorporate issues, like economic growth and industrialisation, accelerating ongoing progress, poverty alleviation and human resource development in the pledges.
Razzak, who heads the party sub-committee for the manifesto, hoped it would be accepted by all as overall development of different sectors, including power, education and health, were given priority there.
“Our future challenge will be to ensure nutrition and developed food security ... We’ll try to highlight the techniques how to prevent corruption as well,” the AL leader added.
