Law enforcers have arrested five BNP nomination seekers amongst whom one is still missing after the polls schedule announcement, complained BNP.
On Wednesday (Nov 21) morning, a delegation led by BNP official Salahuddin Khan, submitted a list of arrested nomination seekers to the Election Commission (EC).
The arrestees are- Ibrahim Hossain, Bagerhaat-4, Anisuzzaman Khan Babu from Giabandha-2, Anwarul Hoque Royel from Netrakona-2, Sheikh Robiul Alam Robi from Dhaka-10 and Abu Bakr Abu, BNP Vice President of Jashore unit.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir signed the letter that said that five nomination seekers were sent to jail amongst whom one is missing.
We had submitted the list to the EC a few times before, but the lawmen are still careless. BNP workers are being detained, abducted and their houses raided, the letter read.
