Those who are staging showdowns in front of the office, violating the electoral code of conduct and the party’s orders will not be given nomination, warned BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
On Wednesday morning, the last day of the participants’ interviews, nomination seekers flanked by their supporters flocked in front of the party chairperson’s Gulshan office, blocking traffic.
“Stop the showdown on the streets and take position at the nearby allies,” Fakhrul announced from the balcony of the office.
“Those who resort to chaos and disorder will not get the party ticket,” he added.
Police set up barricades at the entrance of road 86 and 87 of Gulshan-2 from Wednesday morning.
