She made the comments on Thursday (Nov 15) during the party’s parliamentary board meeting to finalise nominations.
BNP is foiling the polls atmosphere and they have proved once more that they are unable to do anything other than inciting violence, the PM lashed out in her opening remarks.
Urging the BNP to cooperate to ensure free and fair elections, Hasina said, “Since they have decided to contest the polls, they should not do anything that foils it.”
She added that BNP had tried to hinder the polls once before in 2014 but were unsuccessful.
The Awami League chief added that they will still be unsuccessful because the people want the polls to take place in festivity.
