The Jatiya Oikya Front has written to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina seeking a second round of talks over the upcoming national polls.
AHM Shafiq Ullah from Jatiya Oikya Front and BNP chairperson's media wing member Sairul Kabir Khan delivered the letter to the Awami League chief's Dhanmondi office.
Gana Forum Organizational Secretary Mostak Ahmed said that the letter was received by office staff Alauddin.
“We were told that the Awami League leaders were at the Suhrawardy Udyan where the prime minister was attending a thanksgiving rally,” he told Bangla Tribune.
On Saturday, the newly floated alliance took the decision in a meeting at its leader Dr Kamal Hossain’s Motijheel offices, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir informed media.
The first round of talks between the ruling Awami League-led coalition and the Front was held on Nov 1 at the Ganabhaban.
