The members of 20-party alliance had a meeting at the BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s office on Wednesday (Oct 31).Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been given the responsibility to represent the 20-party alliance in all Jatiya Oikya Front activities in the future.
The decision was taken at a meeting held at the BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s office on Wednesday (Oct 31).
It’s believed that 20-party alliance members are looking at the Prime Minister’s call for dialogue positively.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “During the talks, the seven points of the Jatiya Oikya Front will be discussed.”
When some allies of the 20-party alliance asked if they should also give a letter to the PM for talks, the BNP secretary general did not make any comment.
Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) chairman Andaleeve Rahman Partho said, “BNP is represented in the Jatiya Oikya Front and therefore, there is no need for any party to have separate talks.”
Jamaat’s Executive Council member Mowlana Abdul Halim said, “We hope the dialogue will be fruitful, BNP must do whatever necessary to take the Jatiya Oikya Front forward.”
