There is no more apprehension about the upcoming elections, said Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad merely eight days after expressing his reservations about the polls.
“Jatiya Party is fully prepared for the polls,” he said at the inauguration of party’s election campaign at Banani on Saturday (Oct 27).
“The party is politically stronger than ever and we are prepared to run for all 300 constituencies,” he added.
The former military dictator said that they have a plan in place if BNP decides to run for the polls as well.
“Within a very short time the party will form a nomination board and eligible candidates will be announced after their interview,” the special envoy to the PM added.
