The demand for dialogue by anti-government alliance Jatiya Oikya Front just days ahead of the announcement of polls schedule is “illogical, unreal and unnecessary,” says Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
“There is no such situation in the country that we need a dialogue and the election will be held in line with the Constitution,” he said on Monday (Oct 22).
Replying to the journalist queries after a program on National Road Safety Day in the city, Quader said, “There is no scope for accepting any unconstitutional demands.”
“It is not possible to amend the Constitution now,” said the road transport minister.
