Awami League general-secretary and bridges minister has said: “with the help of the masses, we shall deactivate any nefarious plan of any party to take over Dhaka.”
The minister made the comment on Friday at a blood donation and discussion programme held by Dhaka south city Jubo League to celebrate the birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
At the event, the veteran AL politician contended that any attempt to create anarchy, arson or violence will be met with stiff resistance.
“As general secretary of the AL, I am declaring that from next year, the birthday of the prime minister will be observed as ‘empowerment of the masses’ day.”
The senior minister also said that there is no reason for the masses to get involved in a movement because there isn’t any discontentment among the people.
“The upheaval is caused by BNP who want to go to power and ignite another period of looting and pillaging.”
We will defeat sectarian forces in the upcoming elections and free Bangladesh from the clutches of evil forces, Quader promised.
