However, Dr Kamal, who leads a party styled the Gano Forum, wants to see a united leadership front with representatives from all parties.
Last week, his political platform ‘Jatiyo Oikyo Prokria’ and Bikalpa Dhara chief AQM Badrudozza Chowdhury-led coalition Jukto Front announced the forging of a ‘greater national unity.’
The BNP is likely to join hands with them.
Talking to Bangla Tribune, the senior lawyer said, “If the BNP wants to keep me at the front, then I shall feel honoured.”
Meanwhile, Dr Kamal Hossain is thinking of declaring programmes from a rally to be held on Saturday (Sept 22).
A meeting in this regard will be held the previous day.
“There is unity among the masses to see a change from the existing situation of the country; the main aim of the rally is to take that unity towards an effective end,” said Gano Forum chief.
Political parties, civil society members and professionals have been invited to join the rally leaving out Jamaat-e-Islami.
Gano Forum Executive President Subrata Chowdhury said, “There will be a surprise in the rally.”
