BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been released from hospital on Wednesday, two days after he was taken after complaining chest pain.

Authorities at Dhaka’s United Hospital discharged him around 10am, said Shairul Kabir Khan, member of BNP chairperson’s media wing.

“He has been taken home around 10.30 am and he is doing fine,” he told Bangla Tribune.

On Monday, Mirza Fakhrul was taken to the hospital after he complained of chest pains. He was kept under observation for the day.

An angiogram was done on him on Tuesday, but no block was found.
