Three persons have been arrested for spreading false news through social media and trying to mobilise people for anarchy.
Police Cyber-crime Control Department arrested them from different places in the city on Tuesday, said ADC Nazmul Islam.The three have been identified as Touhidur Rahman Tushar, 24, Md Waliullah, 28 and Saidul Islam, Ehsan Uddin Efaz, 18.

Earlier, on Aug 6 Mahbubur Rahman Arman, 30, Alamgir Hossain, 27 and Saidul Islam, 31, were also arrested on the same charge.

Mobiles, laptops, memory chips and their social media ID’s were confiscated from them, said Nazmul.

All three have been arrested under cyber law case filed with Ramna Thana and sent to metropolitan chief magistrate with a request for a seven-day remand.
