An APC is seen at capital`s Bashundhara residential area on Monday (August 6).

Students have locked into clash with police in Dhaka.
The incident was reported from the city’s Bashundhara residential area on Monday.
Residents said, around 2:30pm, students of private North South University (NSU) began to gather in front of the Grameenphone office inside Bashundhara.
They first swooped on the lawmen forcing the police to retaliate. Chase and counter-chase reported.
Police fired rubber butter and lobbed tear shells to disperse the unruly students.
Vehicular movement inside Banshundhara remained stopped since the clash broke.
Many people fall trapped due to incidents.
Additional forces have been deployed outside the residential area to avoid further untoward situations.
Speaking to Bangla Tribune, NSU spokesperson Belal Ahmed said, “Students from others institutions also joined with their NUS fellows. We are trying to convince our students but nobody listens.”
“Officials also fell trapped inside the university due to the clashes,” said Ahmed.
