Most of the buildings in Dhaka have not been constructed in line with the building code, says city development authority RAJUK chief.
“A recent survey showed 70 to 80 percent of the buildings did not follow the building code. A list will be published in a month,” RAJUK Chairman Abdur Rahman told a seminar on Saturday.
He claimed that the six-month-long study found instances where a 20-storey building was constructed against the approval of a six-story building as well buildings constructed encroaching streets.
