Heat wave to spread: Met Office

FILE PHOTOBangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that the ongoing mild heat wave would continue and spread while weather would remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am Tuesday (Mar 31).

“Mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Faridpur, Sitakunda, Rangamati and Cox’s Bazar, and it may continue and spread,” said a met office bulletin issued on Tuesday morning.

Day temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Night temperature may rise slightly over the country’s northern part and it may fall slightly elsewhere in the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Monday was recorded 37 degrees Celsius in Rangamati of Chattogram Division, while Tuesday’s minimum temperature was 13.3 degree Celsius in Srimangal of Sylhet Division.
