Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has conducted a drive at Bhatra area of the capital to aware citizens over COVID-19 and ensure the home-quarantine of returned expatriates.
The drive was made on Monday (Mar 30) under the supervision of DNCC Extended Area-9 Executive Officer Hemayet Hossain.
Addressing the drive as a regular activity of DNCC, Hemayet said, “People residing near avenues and main streets are staying home, whether we found negligence to the matter inside the residential areas.”
“We are trying to convince them and make aware,” he added.
“The citizens must stay home. We will provide food supplies to the needful families,” he said before informing that the councillors are asked to make a list of those families.
During the drive, awareness leaflets to prevent virus infection were distributed among the roaming people in streets and instructions over the issue were announced.
