Along with the educational institutions, all coaching centres, will remain shut till Apr 9 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
"The decision came from a meeting headed by Education Minister Dipu Moni on Tuesday (Mar 24)," said Mohammad Abul Khair, public relations officer (PRO) of the education ministry.
"All students must stay at home in this period and follow the health instruction given by Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research," he added.
Earlier on Mar 16, the government had decided to keep all educational institutions closed till Mar 31.
